Node question.

Nodes seem to be more... Persistent? Like if I walk 10 tiles off a node the quality seems pretty much the same as opposed to old haven where it seemed like you lost 1q or more per tile away from node peak.

My question is. Does anyone have solid-ish information on how nodes work in this version? Do they still center at the point of a grid like old haven, or are they just ape shit all over the place? I think node qualities change "per grid" but I don't have high enough survival to make sure that a decent node centers on the grid intersections like old haven.

I've seen both weirdly. Occasionally a node will drop off really rapidly and vanish faster than expect. But most of the time it's a gradual loss of quality.

Unfortunately I can't give anything more than that. Usually the quality drops I remember are in forageables, which is kind of hard to get reliable info on.

Yes, I found a 42, 38, 44 water node.

Yes, single stat 50 node probably won't be worth much. Worthwhile to use for a small town/hermit for sure, but nothing anyone would trade for in all likelyhood. At least not until roads are well established and only then to pretty poor players having a late start.

I'd think if it's in the right stat for bricks for an oven, it might be useful, but there would be higher Q around somewhere.
