Tree farming

How long is this supposed to take? Our baby trees are still tiny over a week later... we planted some we found growing in the correct biome, so dont think its that :(

What species we talking? My spruce tree is growing uh, sorta quick I guess?

Um 4-5 days and it's about 1/5th the size of a normal tree lol. Ok not that quick.

OK! good to know you have a similar experience :P

I'm not sure exactly which species, I think some were spruce anyway...

Another q about this...

Does proximity to other objects still stunt the trees? Based on how slow it is idk if anyone can really tell yet, but maybe someone smart planted trees on the first day :p

I'm growing 9 different trees from different biomes in the same area as a test, and they all seem to be growing at exactly the same rate (slowly).

I first planted a mulberry tree 4-5 days ago and Bdew's percentage meter shows it at only 36% grown. I really hope there is some still undiscovered means of speeding them up a bit because if the percentages are at all accurate (I have no idea how they are calculated) then that doesn't bode well.

I will also plant a couple in varying proximities to walls to try to get an idea of the stunting but, as you say, it's going to take a while to get any results.

After my planted kings oak grew a bit I could harvest branches but.. quality is 6/6/10... I thought the whole reason to plant your own trees is to improve their quality. Is it just because the tree is still not fully grown or is that the rng biting me in the ass?

Thats with 30+ soil quality, 30+ water quality, 10 seed quality and 19 quality pot. I dont have any of the treeplanting skills bought though so maybe that's an issue. What are your experiences?

Edit: most likely not, but do beehives increase the tree time growth?

It should get better as it grows, but remember that at this stage your biggest problem is probably a low quality herb table.
