No lamb sausages ?

Postby Sollar » Fri Sep 18, 2015 8:53 pm

Wasn't there a lamb sausage as high tier perception food in Legacy HnH? I can only craft deer dog, am I missing something, or the lamb sausages did not make it to this version yet ?

There are, but at least for now they require actual mutton, so mouflon won't cut it.

Do they change meat types when they are tamed? I understand that there's a difference in a free-roaming animal and a tamed animal in many ways, but I didn't think it would affect the meat FEPs.

It did in legacy too. Boar and Pork were two seperate meat types. Lets not get into the realism debate though please XD It doesn't need to apply to every little thing.

I thought they could be used (boar/pork) interchangeably in recipes before. I don't need realism, just trying to understand the change.

Pork counted as boar, but not vica versa. It was a direct upgrade since it could be used to make Bierwurst. Since tamed animal qualities have no real cap, you can balance recipes of wild vs tamed meat a bit to account for that.

I suppose I didn't realize that since I lived near pigtown and had an abundance of crazy free-roaming tamed pigs whenever I needed...
