Maybe we should have a "deck" of events... maybe 4 or 5 events that we qualify for EXP... and ONE of those effects is a Wild Card of sorts that we also get bonus XP and/or LP. When we get one, this deck it "shuffled" and we draw a new hand. Maybe if can have a multiplier involved where if you have an EXP event for the first time, or the first time in a 24 hour period, or once per "reset" when play time is filled up.
Another idea: make a list of unique actions(like chopping a tree, digging, fishing, opening a door, shooting an arrow, etc.). Have XP slowly regenerate for the first 30 minutes, then stop. When enough unique actions are done, just reset the timer.
