Mining faster.

Do iron axes mine faster than stone axes? Or is my best bet to keep trudging on, till I get a pick?

If you have the metal for a metal axe, you should save it for a pickaxe.

I have to travel for 20 minutes on horse-back to get to a claimed cave owned by aggressive russians to mine iron ochre cause my cave is either too full of bats or too hard to mine. I have 1 bar of iron and you didn't answer the question.
Edit: Could be polish. I think the alphabet is the same.
Edit 2: All looks the same when you're running for your life.

You must be really moronic or just ignorant, if you think that cyrylic is used as a polish alphabet.

Also, no, metal axe dosen't increase speed of mining.
