How do i feed tamed animals?

Postby Hypno_Crab » Sun Sep 20, 2015 8:54 pm

Yesterday i've tamed a sheep and todays morning i've tamed a cow. I brought them to closed fence w/o hitching posts (since they are allready tamed) and just dropped the rope so they wander here by their own.
Also i had put here a fodder with 240.2/2000 food inside. But from yesterday this amount did not change. They seem don't eat it I even moved it to center of their area so they can reach it from every side.

Animal satiety bar keeps falling slowly. Sheep satiety is about 90% at the moment and cow satiety is about 95% at the moment.

Am i doing something wrong? Maybe need hitching posts(sounds really weird since food is at their nose)?
I don't want to loose my zooo :(

If it's the same as Haven 1.0, the grass on your ground should feed your animals.
I'm not sure anyway.

You see the 2 bars, I believe the bar on the right is their hunger. So when they get hungry they'll then eat from the trough. I think the red bar is their health.

Well this is not the option since i need to feed them, but not only try to keep them alive. I have a fooder, i have extra food to keep feeding them. Can't get why regular way is not working.
The grass was allways good only as extra thing for moments when you forgot to feed them so they won't die.

When you mouseover this bar it's called "Satiety". And it feels like they are starving since they don't eat food from fodder.

Filled a bucket with swill. Can't feed animals with it by rightclicking.

They don't actually start eating until their hunger bar goes below 90%.

Thanks! Was worrying for my zoo :)

By the way their hunger drops so slowly. 24 hours didn't make sheep to drop 10% yet. Seems like theese godlike animals can not only walk ontop of waters but also survive w/o food for 10 days :)

I'm fairly sure it's the same rate of eating as in Legacy Haven, but do tell me if I got it wrong. Will nerf forthwith. ^^
