I have been trying to get a fishing pool fore awhile now. I have all the resources and i have learned fishing, but the only thing showing up is a hook. So there has to bee something im missing, any help? Thank You

Should just be string, woodblock, and bough to make a fishingpole. Maybe you have to make and discover a hook before it'll unlock the recipe?

I have made a rabbit bone hook. I have found some spindly taproot as well, but the option to make string has never shown up.

Spindly taproot, stinging nettles, hide straps, and plant fibers are all string.

I understand this, i found items i could use to make string on the wiki, thats how i found the taproot, but what im saying is that the option that usually shows up after you find a new item, never showed up with this one. String is not an option i have to craft.

~you just need to click with taproot on that fishing rod or whatever it is then add hook and bait on it

The problem is, i don't have an option to build a fishing rod either, even tho i have fishing as a skill, is their another skill i need to learn as well?. I have gathered all the resources to build a fishing pool, heck i even have a couple worms but i just have no options to make anything. SO im pretty stumped here.

thats fishing pole, for fishing rod u need linien cloth i think

Well the wiki is telling me something completely different lol, its telling me i use 2 branches to make the pole, then taproot to make the line, then a hook (which i have), and then bait( which i also have).

The wiki is, unfortunately, somewhat outdated at the moment since the launch of the new world.
