Stone mansion color question

Postby Apillion » Thu Sep 24, 2015 7:13 pm

I just want to confirm that i am in fact understanding the coloring correctly..

When building a stone mansion would it be correct when i say

Stone
-------
90 stone 1st color
85 stone 2nd color
75 stone 3rd color

blocks
--------
55 blocks 1st wood color, interior(secondary) of the block
45 block 2nd wood color, also using the interior part of the block

boards
--------
35 3rd wood color, logs secondary color
25 4th wood color, logs exterior color

Thatching
------------
What ever you have the most of?
27 tar
23 straw
Will then make it tar or will it color the straw black?

Metal
------
Not really important its so small

And why cant we use clay as thatching?

Mansion uses the archery target rings as its colour pallete, it doesn't directly line up with the boards/blocks sometimes.

Stone
-------
90 stone Porphyrp
85 stone Gnessis
75 stone Marble

blocks
--------
55 blocks Hazel
45 block Merkwood

boards
--------
35 boards Oak
25 boards Berch

Thatching
------------
50 straw

Metal
------
5 cast iron

I regret using straw
Also the Mirkwood looks nothing like on the example page.

You know, I actually really like it ... I think the straw roof looks lovely against the wood beam colour and panelling, the only thing I would of changed is the Gnessis stone, to something a bit more tan coloured, but maybe that would then be too much ... anyway, it's pretty, :)

Nah i dont like the tar look at all its to shiny if the tar was a bit more mat it would have been cool..

i was thinking of putting spruce on the top instead of straw.

Edit: or maybe Friday's patch will bring clay roofs with it
