Only if we legitimately don't know the answer.

You will get the nearest stone type (coal is considered a stone) if you place your house over an ore vein.

could also be a way to mine on rock that is beyond your hardness like if you prospect gold on a lower level where you cant mine, you could theoretically build a log cabin with cellar then bash house and repeat if that is the case

What will be the q of that stone? I built a house in a cave, digging q10 stone from the cellar. Shouldn't it be q20 since minQ on cave level 2 is 20?

Also, do hardness nodes go through levels?

well havent heard 1 case of someone being unable to mine their cellar and everyone in my village has a cellar
