Questions about Finery Forge

I was wondering what do I do when the cast iron has updated, do I craft something? Hit it with my hammer? What do?

Craft wrought out of the bloom. Needs anvil and hammer.

It gave me two slag and a bloom, smashed bloom into wrought and it gave cast iron back, is that intended?

Yes, there's a chance that you'll get cast iron back instead. Interesting to note that the quality can shift up or down during this process, so you can gamble quality up via the finery forge. Slag can also be resmelted for a chance at cast iron.

Maybe if the anvil/hammer quality is different, but from the bloom I've processed all has remained exactly the same quality; it enters the finery forge as q16/15/15 cast iron, then becomes q16/15/15 bloom, and when I process it using a q16/15/15 anvil and q16/15/15 hammer, it becomes q16/15/15 cast or wrought iron. It no longer changes the way it did in legacy.
