Dawn til Dusk?

What times are Dawn and Dusk? I assumed it was every four hours but it doesn't quite appear to be that way.
Unless the times are different?

we should be able to make watches to tell what time it is, that would be cool

You pretty much can.. just watch the way the shadows moves around the trees :P
