how to get quality coal?

Should i get quality wood or quality tar kiln works too?If to dig coal walls with quality above 10+ should i get survival skill higher?

You can find a quality node for better mined coal or better trees for better coal the tar klin caps the quality of the wood i think but it does not increase the quality of the wood burned though

There are two known methods: Tar kilns and mining. You have to find a high quality black coal node when mining. It's easier to do at lower levels as they're more common the further down you go.

Tar kilns softcap wood quality so you need high quality stone and/or coal first to make a better tar kiln. But, for example, if you have q10 kilns and q20 wood then you should get q15 coal.

I'm actually not sure if mining is capped and if it is what caps it. Someone else will have to help with that.

I dont think it is capped. You dont need surv skill to find hq stone at least, so dont think it is for ore either...

You just have to mine around quite a bit to find them.
