Farming - what for?

What is this skill important for now? My friends have no problem with planting and harvesting ql 40+ crops with chars with 1 farming. They have high survival

I don't think that's intended...

Farming however is a soft cap for tree planters pots. That's significant.

what?i have 40 farming and 60 survival,and still didn't get even 30 quality crops ,max i have 24 ....what the hell....did your friends plant this crops with 1 farming?

WWW quality node can give you a real quality boost. I have some 35/40/34 beets that way

Farming lets you dig quality soil just like survival does now too.

i thought i can use farming just for planting croops and crafting tree pots,but now i just wasted my lp points....i hate dev's...

Yes, they did plant those crops with 1 farming. Of course, seeds were around ql 40 too. As Sevenless said, they started with some good ql seeds from WWWs.

Soil quality is either 10 in all elements or only slightly above that.

that doesn't seem right, it should be the case that your farming level is a softcap on crop Q either upon planting or harvest, so unless it's a VERY soft cap then something might be funky...

are they harvesting high Q with 1 farming or just planting?
