does anyone know if the quality of the trellis affects the crops planted on it?

Edit: also, since you can ctrl place a trellis in any old spot, can you have multiple crops on each tile?

From my experience, it does not. In fact, i don't think it has any quality at all.

You need at least one free tile of space to harvest a plant from a trellis. I guess you can place up to two on the same tile, so they look like this

[ ] is empty tile you stand on to harvest

Just to add onto this mans post, if you do setup 2 trellis' per tile, you can actually harvest both of the trellis' and replant on both of them from just 1 tile. You dont need to run around the other way to get the other trellis'.

Trellises definitely do not affect the quality of the plant. Other than peas, most just grow so slowly it's a huge pain in the ass to get quality increases.
