Cant plant seeds

It´s getting pretty frustrating now. I have a varous array of seeds, I have the farming skill, my farming skill is at 4, I have plowed the grownd, I left click a single seed in my inventory, and then i right click with it on my new plowed grownd... but nothing happens. I have read all about planting seed here on the forum and looked at videos, and it looks like I am doing everything right. But no resault.
Is there something that I have missed ?

The seeds that I am trying to plant (if that should matter) is pipeweed, pumpkin, poppy and grape (I have the winemaking skill, and have build a trellis).
When I try to plant the seed there is no "error"-sound nor a red text telling me what I am doing wrong. Just nothing happens. My character doesnt move to the plant location either.
Please tell, cause this is making me crazy

If you are planting seeds, you need 5 in a stack to plant.
If you are planting a vine (grapes, peas, etc), plant on the trellis, not the ground.

I don't recall off the top of my head. I don't recall an error message being given, though, which is why this question comes up frequently.

well I had less than 5. considering I got some of my seeds from abandoned claims while looking for a home. so now I know not if I will be able to plant these. too bad you cant put em in a starter plant pot. to get at least 5.

u wont be able to plant them, no error message.

If you have less than 5 of the same seed in two different stacks, put them in a container like a barrel or a bucket.

If you just plain have less than 5, you can't do much except feed some chickens with them.

Or you can just pick one stack and click it onto another to combine them, just like with all "liquid" materials (ash, flour, pigments etc).
