Learn basic mechanics and discover wool by shearing either a sheep or mouflon. You can shear a mouflon by feeding it a clover and then right clicking it and using the shear command with a sharp tool equipped.

Assuming stone Axe doesnt count as sharp tool? I don't have that option :/ Guessing I have to get metal?

Stone axe is a sharp tool. Did you feed it a clover?

yes, I had 2 mouflons tied to hitching posts, maybe I was just silly and never tried right clicking them before they escaped..
Edit: With escape I mean beat the snot out of me and escaping through a hole in my fence XD
I'll try that, thanks.

If you've used a rope on them or hitched them you can not shear them for wool. You can drop the rope and shear them and then reapply the rope if they haven't been hitched before though.

Just in case you didn't know you can do the same with a aurochs to get milk while holding a bucket on mouse cursor and a cow when it's expecting a calf.

I didn't know this till someone came running past my base with two buckets and I asked him about the buckets xD

Alright, why is this though? It makes sense to me that we could sheer them while roped xD

I did know we can milk them, thanks for telling me how though! I'm not strong enough to actually tame neither auroch nor mouflon yet, but I'll keep this in mind!

Probably considered exploitable if we could just rope mouflons and harvest them forever without needing to find new ones or tame them.
