Killing someone with claims or fighting on multclaimed sites

Is it practical to stack multiple rows and/or columns of claims in your base or outside and have battles in there so enemies take trespassing damage as you fight? I've never taken trespassing damage so I'm not sure the severity of it. But say the field was ridden with claims all spaced as close as possible from each other and you can probably align them like bricks. It'd make it fairly hard to fight there without authority to trespass right?

Minimum distance between claims is 5 spaces. Crime damage is like 1 SHP whereas a single chop is going to be taking off 200+ SHP. Chances are no one will ever fight you in it if you did make it. They'd gank you while you were outside of your base.
