determine ingame time?

we used to have the sun and moon thingy or whatever it was (i honestly dont remember) but how do i determine what time it is in the game anymore? is there a command, a place, an item to make etc? this sitting by a swamp for up to 2 real hours waiting on sunrise or close is crazy sauce lol. any info or help would be appreciated.

ps i did do many searches but all i found was the winers complaining about subs..

I think this is your problem. Stuff spawns only when you are not around. So if you are sitting by the swamp then you are actually blocking dewy mantles from spawning. So just go away and come back to the swamp at the right time.

As an indicator I use my house's shade. When it's cast almost directly in the western direction (it's not a sunrise yet - the light isn't yellowish) then it's a dewy time.

fantastic info. tyvm, just followed it, soon as the shadow from the house was fully west, i headed to the swamp, got 12 dewy's strange how there is no lunar cycle indicator or time indicator in game though oh well, maybe in the future.
