Remove palisade lock

How do I remove a lock I installed on a palisade gate? I know you can change a lock to another key but can you remove a lock completely?

You can apply a new lock if the master key for that gate is in your inventory I believe.

I don't think this answers my question. I know how to change locks, but can you completely REMOVE one? It's not game breaking for me if I can't, I'm just wondering if there's a way you can and if so how.

Oh sorry, misread that. Have you tried Rclicking the master key onto the gate?

(unlocking a gate completely isn't suggested since anyone with vandal can slap a lock on there and hurt you pretty badly since you'd need to demo it at that point.

You cannot remove locks entirely, no. You can leave the gate open, however.
