ways to remove "own" personal claim?

So we moved.

I had some barley growing, and left my alt(on same account) behind to pick it when it was ready, so i did not declaim the land as to prevent people from stealing it as we worked to get the 5 whole spots of barley for a good 4-5 days hehe (bad rng from www seeds).

my question, i left the bond in a box in the house. i have since picked it up with the alt. i plan to walk the alt to the new location where my main is, who actually owns the land. when he gets there, do i need to walk the main, the 6 hours or so BACK to the original claim to remove it, or is there an option to do so with the bond of blood and soil, if i carry it to the new location on the alt and hand it to the main? or must i leave the bond on the alt for the 96 hours, and THEN use the alt to destroy the claim from the totem before i walk him to the new spot?
