How do I get out of the starting zone.

Where's the exit? When I try to walk away from it,it suddenly loads map.
Is that normal?

Where do i get stone by the way? Its not common as it used to be before.
Or maybe I just dont recognize it.

Everyone spawns in a central area right now so where you start out is usually pretty bare. Just start heading away from there and after awhile you'll start seeing things like stones again.
