What is pipeweed for?

I'm currently growing a small farm with multiple crops. One of those crops are Pipeweed, but i didn't get any recipes when i harvested it. So, what exactly is Pipeweed for, and how do i unlock it's recipe[s]?

You can put it in pipe and smoke.
Use quern to make powder out of it. Or to be more clear "pipe stuff".

You need to dry it on a herb table first.

You will discover the dried leaf and be able to grind it then.

What are the effects of smoking it? I used it to smoke, but did not notice any stat buffs or anything like that.
