Where are stones?

I have been walking around for hours, and im yet to see stones. What is going on. How else can I easily make an Axe? Where else can i get stone chips?

We should really add some foragable stone.

They become painfully overabundant once you have metal or stone, since you can mine out an effectively infinite amount. Some way will need to be added so that people don't end up in your situation though . =/

there are certain areas in the map which seem to have no rocks anywhere close by. you just need to find a better area

Why not make small biomes which have X amount of ore, and regenerate say a month or two later? Having rocks scattered around is unsustainable for a long-lasting world, compared to a truly regenerative landscape.

Devs can make a montain on the map in place of a village, why cant they drop some stones in newbiland when there is no more ?

I think they'd prefer a solution that doesn't involve divine intervention or spontaneous generation.

Just keep moving farther and farther away from the center, eventually you will find them everywhere. Also the farther from the center you settle the longer you'll live :)
