how to respawn acre clay??

So, how does acre clay respawn?

Ball clay will repop in a 24 hours..
but acre clay, i dug and its just a big hole thats 'too steep to dig'

I put other clay inside the hole to hopefully pop it back up, but it didnt do anything?

help ? im confused? do you dig it once and its gone after that

You put clay in the hole so that you can dig more clay out of the hole?

it doesn't yet. not sure if the devs plan on adding that ability because it seems to make ball clay digging pretty useless.

Well for quality nodes that would be useful. this is what you currently do for soil nodes.
