Destroying trees

Postby fablewings » Tue Oct 20, 2015 11:35 pm

Im trying to find an easier want to get rid of all the trees>Tree logs.

Atm, Im chopping them and making em into baords and dropping the baords.

Sadly I wish you could put an entire log into kilns, fire places or set them on fire.

Why can't we set entire trees on fire?

If you lift the logs while in a river and log out, I BELIEVE they disappear. Not 100% sure

For the same reason most minecraft servers disable fire spread.

Also, I'm not sure that fires are actually very good at burning trees. Burning them completely, anyway.

Forest fires? A lot of people grief, I mean it happened with survey land.
You do have a point but what I was trying to make was that getting rid of trees a lot of time.

There is Don't Starve and trees can be set on fire and turned in to ashe/charcoal.

In the end, I was only trying to find easier ways to get rid of them.
Catching trees on fires and making forest fires isn't up too me.

I use a bonesaw on the logs (tree logs). Make planks and just let the decay hits do the work.

Why are you removing a mass amount of trees, exactly?

Wants to run a bucket bot, obviously.

My question is why destroy it all? You're going to hate yourself if in another month old logs start decaying into mirkwood. I can see wanting to clear an area for a lot of reasons, though.

There are plenty of mirkwood logs and stomps everywhere. There is not need for them.
