Quick Taming Questions

Postby fecal » Wed Oct 21, 2015 12:51 pm

So currently I have 3 auroch's attached to 3 hitched posts. I have four posts, and I did a round of taming with an auroch, logged out and it was gone. Is it safe to assume it despawned because I did not re attach it to the post?

Also under the assumption that I need to re attach it to the post after our round of boxing, will the game allow me to attach it to a post another auroch is on? If so will this screw up that aurochs tame by re leeshing/ attaching?

Am I fine to use buckets on these things for milk during this whole taming process as well?

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Also I have 50 UA and 30 Agi, I was going to try to tame some boar, but I heard they have a red attack? So I would need to "discover" a red defense first right?

And Finially isn't it kind of gross that some of this aurochs are male but still give milk? :O ;)

Re attach every animal after your boxing round so it wont despawn.

The game allows only 1 animal to be attached to 1 hitch post.

I am pretty sure you cant milk/shear animals when they are during taming process? I know i wasn't able to shear them so i didnt even try to milk :o

About boars, no, the dont have red attack, they do have red counterattack. It counterattacks only when you hit its "tusk romp" or smth like that defense. So just watch its defenses and when it has this up, focus on refreshing all your defenses during that time.

Or do a blue attack bc it doesnt defend against it or yellow I believe.

Just do the attacks that are not on the tusk romp defences.

Follow up Question, Can I leesh an animal currently in the taming process, in order to move him back into his case, and rether, without messing up the taming process?

Please Help,

I did a tame on an auroch, and the thing will not tether my rope so I can re hitch it. It wont take a clover either, it keeps saying "thrashing wildly".

How can I re tether to post?

The only time I had thrashing wildly after a successful taming attempt, when I tried leashing it again about a minute later it worked. I'm not sure why it happens to some people, taming is a little bit odd/buggy.
