thread about b12 and sword

Postby spawningmink » Sat Oct 24, 2015 5:35 pm

my question is what item is better.
b12 takes 2 hand slots and removes your ability to use the stances shield and parry
testing with sword ql it seems swords only do around 20 less damage then b12

my question is what does everyone think about it? should people be using b12? or go wiht sword and get 2 more stances

(not sure is this is the right sub fourm)

It's not the right subforum.

from what i saw wrought is like 100 base bronze 125 steel 150 b12 200? and since i think quality scales dmg up %wise then a good ql b12 would be for sure really good if you can land a hit

I guess it depends what kind of fight you are aiming for. B12 surely means that you just try to chop him dead before he can do anything. With sword and shield you can defend yourself a bit better but not kill him so fast.

The problem is a B12 is generally a bit lower quality than the steel swords a village can produce (due to the extra materials), so that damage gain isn't as much.

Why not?

I personally see it might even being higher q because of the extra materials? and right now armor class is closing in on average of being around 200 so more dmg to pen armor would be good

This. It's much easier to get a higher quality B12 due to the hardened leather used. It's pretty easy to get high quality leather and wax, but much harder to get high quality steel.

Also, if you ask me, with the incursion of shield block and parry, B12 has basically become pointless. That shield block is so stupidly strong I cannot think of any reason you'd take a B12 over a shield. The extra damage just isn't worth sacrificing that extra defence.

I think the b12 needs some serious buffing. It's about completely useless now that armor-class creep has made it less and less effective.
