For silkmoth to mate, if you have 10 pair of moth, can you put them all in one container?

after silkworm hatch, how long does it take for them to die?

1 - i think so, but they will pair randomly, and that can ruin your quality moths
2 - they check for leaves every 4 hours, and if they miss a meal more than once, they die, so i'd say they'd die after 8 hours without food

Yeah, it is at random, and it does slow quality progression some, but unless you're throwing q50 in with q10, it shouldn't ruin your quality, just kill any progress this generation. Just make sure that if you're breeding a lot at once, you quality sort as best as you can.

The other issue with putting so many moths in one place is the number of eggs they create per pair. You're likely to lose some if you put 10 pairs into one container as, even going with old numbers, that's 75 eggs on average, and you could have as many as 100.

be careful with this, yes i'm new, but i had dried some on a table, and let 6 hatch, i had 2 females 4 males, all in one container with the intent to sort them a little later, but got caught up in other things and forgot.

I don't know if it was a glitch, or what, but when i came back the next day, the container was empty. they did not breed, there were no eggs nothing, just an empty container.
now im not sure, maybe i needed mulberry leaves in the container for them, but i was under the assumption that they only ate, as the actual silkworms(after hatching the eggs on a herb table), not as silkmoths. and this may be why mine died. i will have to try this next time with leaves in the box with the multiple mated pairs, after they hatch from the cocoons to see if they eat.

This may be a bug, and if it is, it's an unsettling one. My moths are going to hatch today, so i'll see for myself.
