Mining?

What does a mine require? In the past world, we had to have wax. But now, I cant find swamps for the life of me. Is the beehive the only way to get wax, or does mining require it at all?

Mineholes require wax in the form of hard leather. Level 1 mining is just cave mining as the caves are the same as any level 1 minehole, they share the map.

Geography is more varied and clustered in this world. Some places are covered in swamps, others are mostly grasslands or forests or mountains. If there's no swamps near you, move (or get out of the starting zone). Take a look at the world map and you'll see.

You can mine just fine in caves with a stone axe and a bit of strength. Mineholes are advanced.
