Is Cleave supposed to be this rare?

I have killed hundreds of animals of all types now - nothing.

Could it be related to the fact that I have silly things like 12 punches discovered? Is there some hidden cap on the total number of moves you can have? Or is it just absurdly rare?

Haven has never made me butthurt before this :p

I thought I heard that cleave wasn't in game, just that someone found it in the res files...?

I have yet to know a single person who has it, sorry I can't help more than that.

I don't believe equipment impacts it personally, but I'm certain that which move you use does.

I don't remember. I was hunting with a sword so at least chop and take aim.

I don't like that as a design, fated curios I don't mind but I should be able to decide how to use my character with some amount of work put in.

I've noticed that it's very difficult to get shield up for example, without having a shield equipped. Maybe you might need a b12 equipped to learn cleave?

Its not fated. You need to be using the right moves to get it.

You can use cleave with swords too, don't need to have b12. As i said somewhere else, i got it using punch/chop/take aim/quick dodge, and with hirdsman's sword equipped. The animal was probably a bat.
Also, i still didn't get a shield up :<
