Does the archery target increase your marksmanship?

It has been miss after miss, and i was just wondering if shooting the archery target increase anything.

Nope. It is just for fun. You raise Marksmanship by putting LP into it.

Word is there are some special curios from practicing with the target, but not sure that they're worth it. In a roundabout way, then, yeah, you could increase your MM from practicing on an archery target: get curio, study curio, raise MM with the earned LP.
