Can you still shoot from a boat?

Can you shoot yourself? It seems I have accomplished this twice now almost killing my character.

You can shoot from a boat at certain angles if you get lucky with the cone of your shot; not worth trying.


As for #2... How?

#2 once i accidentally clicked on myself while aiming and the second time I clicked a portrait of a badger while on a horse. Im not sure if the horse threw me off though.

Trying to shoot from a horse is as tricky as trying to shoot from a boat. Odds are you'll hit the horse. It'll throw you, aggro you, and stomp you down.

Well, technically you aggroed it since you shot it with an arrow.

You can aim at creatures by shooting at them (It will automatically aim at the tile), their portrait or minimap icon.

I have had little luck shooting at bats in caves, the arrows usually end up in some weird wall several tiles deep just pissing off the bat. Bats aren't that hard, if you can get the skill to hunt them with a bow, you can hunt them with fists fairly easily too. Also, bats don't stop at cliffs or walls anymore, so you can't use any blocks to delay them getting to you if you miss.
