Question to jorbtar on shield Q

Postby gorgaroth » Fri Nov 13, 2015 8:50 pm

Herb jorbtar, since you explained to us what sword Q does, would you be willing to tell us if shield Q does anything?
I know essence is agi- sub is damage and vit and weight.
Does sub = agi and vit=weight for shield?

If they sell permanent decorations for shield I doubt they put any stats to them.

I believe this has been answered already in several places on the forum. The answer is, "No, shields do not take quality into consderation."

Why? All they are is a required piece of equipment for a combat maneuver, not a piece of armor. They have neither soak nor deflect, and they don't have hit points.

I've heard so many times people giving definite answers about qualities only to later find out they were completely wrong.

The safe thing to do is just to get the highest possible quality with whatever you make.

It's not bad advice, but why bother when you can use second-rate materials for now, and if qualities for them are implemented later, you can make a good quality item? Qualities are just going to get better as time goes on, so no reason to try to push everything up if you don't need to.
