why is it so hard to find string? ive got 15 percep and 5 exploration, walking around for hours now and only found one nettle, did they change they values for foragables?

well try to get a bit more exploration. I had the same problem with beginner toons, but just 1-2 points expl. should help a lot.

Remember that nettles and taproots ONLY spawn in forestry biomes, they will never spawn on Heath, swamp, mountain, grassland, moorlands, etc


If you can sprint on it, string can't spawn on it

i cant find a foresty biome, i see alot of cloud ranges and greensward and every biome i come acrosss i could sprint

Upping your PERC*EXP will also help, and remember you can farm flax/hemp for string; or build a drying frame, catch a bunny, and dry its hide for hide straps

trying to catch bunnies is rediculas! its rare for me to find a slow one, i got hemp seeds i found but i dont want to start a farm with a tiny claim *drying frames cost string too *

and i guess they did up the requirements for the PERC*EXP, idm was just woundering whats a good balance of stats to find stuff

Your first bunny hide should probably go towards rabbit shoes, which give you a speed boost when catching more of them .

You can catch the normal speed ones by:
-sprinting when you get close
-running at one that's next to a cliff
- randomly finding one killed by a fox/ luring one into a fox to kill it for ya
