Does metal or stone axe matter when skinning/butchering?

Does the type of axe/blade matter or is the formula the same regardless (based on quality and skill?)

Quality is the only concern when skinning and butchering. Axe type matters when you are cutting trees down and up into blocks, and when you are mining (though you can only use stone axe and pick axe).
