Can't find worms

Postby synaris » Thu Nov 19, 2015 2:23 am

when i first spawned i dug and found one pretty easily but i cant remember which biome i was in. used to you could just dig in forest biomes and get em but now i cant find them in any biome. could someone tell me where to get them and what color the biome is on the minimap?

also, do swamps with leeches in them still exist? i couldnt find any....

Anywhere can make worms, not that common. 2-3 per 50 dirt or so. Swamps still exist, just rarer.

Ant edibles/curios can be used as bait. That's how I did most of my early game fishing.

You can dig worms everywhere you get soil.

Swamps still exist.

2-3 per FIFTY dirt!? i have the obliterate the landscape just to find a few measly worms? this needs some kind of fix... no wonder i didnt find any, i didnt want to ruin the land to that extent.

Get a wooden shovel. Go 2-3 maps away. Start digging. Make piles of soil and piles of worms. Carry a kuksa/wooden cup with a barrel of water to keep stamina up. Doesn't take long to get a good amount of worms.

What do you feel such a strong need for worms for? If you just want to fish, entrails are probably the easiest bait to find.

Entrails are awesome tier ingredient though so you never have enough.

Don't forget bugs. Ladybugs and moths work as bait, too.

I didn't notice it mentioned, but leeches need to be bloated to be used as bait.
