Gold Pebble from mining

Are you supposed to be able to get gold pebble from mining? I just got one while mining, I've mined....well...a lot..and this is the first I've seen mining, I've dug clay WAY less and gotten a good bunch of gold pebbles, so just checking if it is a bug or just extremely rare possibility to get it while mining as well?

Got 2 gold pebbles while mining quartz. They dropped one by one while mined 2 cells.

I've mined lots of tiles already, emptied few nodes, still have some ongoing and tunneled long tunnels. Didn't find pebble there. On other hand we made walls of 3.500 bricks and I've also dug clay from hq resources worth of probably another number like that, we got overall of 6-7 pebbles from it.

We made 3 brickwalls (44oo, 44oo and 78oo bricks), most bricks made by me, got only 3 pebbles. We mined big area under village (100x100 cells) and I got 2 pebbles only once, from quartz.
But in this world too many gold and silver as ore, so pebbles from clay and mining - not so good source.

Its probably RNG, you just get lucky or not.

I have mined very long tunnels and multiple veins and have gotten only 1 pebble.

Another miner here, I mined also to L5, made tunnels, emptied nodes etc... No pebbles. But I almost did not mine quartz, it could be that quartz has a higher chance to yield pebbles, maybe?
