How do you properly slope a hill

Postby Jackwolf » Sun Nov 29, 2015 7:01 am

So I can make my wall gradually go down it? It doesn't make any sense. Going down 1 tile it was fine with 4 dirt difference (4 in each corner), going to the second tile down it was okay with 3 dirt difference, etc etc - but this doesn't make any sense to me. Why does it have become less of a slope the farther down it goes?

I use a series of surveys, 1 tile wide, each 1 or 2 lower than the previous one. Start at the top. Unfortunately doesn't work well with curves.

It's not different as you go further down, something else is different.

Are you making a diagonal slope? I think the limit is 0.3 or 0.4 meters from the highest point of a cell to the lowest. If you're going over a diagonal slope, its probably more than that.

Your best bet is to make the ground even, only sloping in the direction of the wall.
