How to get attacks/defends that use weapons?

I have chop but I have no clue how to get sting, block, and the other ones. If anybody could please tell me what animal would have what skill and if i need a weapon equipped at the time of discovery.

You can get most of the skills from all the animals, like boars. Use shield to get shield up and for the skills that need IP to be used, you need to gather as much IP as skill needs to have to be used so you can discover it (aka if you want to discover cleave, stack 10ip to be safe to get it, since it needs 7+2 or something.). Cleave you get from bear/lynx, not sure if from anything else too.
