Clearing trellises without breaking them?

Hi, so with things like grapes and pepper can I clear them off without breaking the trellis? Harvesting them doesn't clear them away and using the destroy option on the trellis removes both the crop and the trellis, so is there some tool or other action I can do?

edit: i missread, yeah, you can dig up the plants. i forget if there is a separate "dig up" command or not

Yeah, digging up the plants doesn't destroy the trellis.

Maybe ive made a mistake in the process, but for me its kinda random. Ive killed a couple of low q vines without a problem, but in other ocasion I destroyed the trellis. Is it me or is it easy to break it without the will to do it?

Use destroy on the crop model instead of the trellis, and you will dig up the plant.

Yes, but this game has some kind of resolution problem and its easy to make a mistake. Trellis can absorve a couple of hits if i remember it right, so its easy to break them.

Zoom in as far as you can and click on a part of the plant away from the trellis if you can. If your dude starts swinging an axe instead of digging abort asap. The destroy icon is weird this world in where the "point" you click is.
