Does coal from wood in a tarkiln work as a stone in building

i dont think even black coal works as stone, let alone charcoal

Black Coal works as stone. Coal from a tar kiln does not.

still black coal can be used as a regular stone for some structures (like brickwall)

black coal cannot, black ore can. this was changed from the start of hafen though, at first you could use coal to pave and build.

My mistake, then. Thought you could still use it in a few places such as paving or crafts needing a generic stone.
