Loot a body on your own claim?

Okay so my other char died (in aggro thread). So my alt who owns the claim has trespassing and theft skills, but is still unable to loot the corpse. What kind of jorbtarish logic hoops are required to be jumped through to be able to retrieve my stuff off the corpse?

I'd imagine easiest way is to grab it with the character that inherits from the dead one.

Well... if you have theft skill you should be able to steal from the corpse at the very least. Aren't you?

With trespassing and theft skills, and being the character with ownership of the claim, I was unable to loot the corpse. I got the Steal option, but was given the message that it would be trespassing.

Only a descendant was able to loot the corpse.

perhaps... turn on criminal acts?

The ONLY character able to loot a corpse without leaving theft (and trespassing on a claim?) is the direct descendant of the body. Any time you do something that leaves scents, you have to turn on criminal acts.
