WELLS !!!

Postby tripp4 » Fri Dec 18, 2015 5:42 pm

im trying to find a new spot, but i cant remember what i did the first time

the water doesnt seem to be visible when using a dowsing rod, and it points in all different directions

so do i just start placing wells randomly to get lucky? or is there a certain way?
can i dig to be closer to the water?
do i need to be closer to a river?

someone please help because if i see "the water runs too deep here" one more time, im going go insane

Prospecting sucks.
Dont use wells.
My strategy is just to randomly try build well in every tile and hope it goes there.

maybe jorb can bring back the visible underground puddles of water from legacy

...or make a prospecting system that's a bit more intuitive

hmmm ... might actually move this to critiques and ideas

If nothing else, underground ponds looked really cool.

Dowsing for Dummies:
1) Equip rod
2) Wait for wedge, move one tile in the direction it shows
3) Repeat 2 until system message of The Water table dosn't rise any further from here
4) Try to place well on the tile you're standing on
5) In case of The water runs to deep here move somewhere else and repeat the process...

Its still pain in the ass.

Wells

Postby tripp4 » Fri Dec 18, 2015 7:58 pm

I think i speak for everyone when i say we need an easier way to find water nodes. for some, making trips to the river to refill barrels is not efficient at all

i suggest bringing back the visible puddles from legacy or something similar

the way it is now, it's just too much feeling around in the dark.

it takes too much time for how important water is

Jorb would argue it's not IMMERSIVE enough or something to do that. Currently wells are way too lame to find though. Definitely need something.
