boar combat stats?

Postby synaris » Mon Dec 21, 2015 12:08 pm

iv slaughtered countless animals in my neverending quest to learn sting. (8 animals dead today so far) and since the wiki says boars give it, i wanna know what stats ill need to stand a chance against boars.

used the hell out of the forums search feature, couldnt find anything that mentions their stats.

agi 60-80
str 20-40 (doesnt really matter, just takes longer)
unarmed combat 60+
melee combat 60+

should be doable with these stats without too much trouble.
just take not of the tusk romp attacl/defense from the boar. if you hit (or parry) through that you will be gutted yourself, by yourself.

well thanks, so lemme just clarify, i should avoid using any striking or backhanded attacks on boars for fear of their infamous tusk romp right?

no, just dont attack him when he DOES have the tusk romp on. it retailiates on all attacks. just restack your defenses while tusk romp is active on the boar.

gotcha. i wanted to know, if hit has tusk romp up and i have parry up, do we just keep counterattacking until one defense falls? or is tusk romp considered a melee attack?

no you will go down in a blaze of stupidity, since i expressly added parry to the things NOT do when he has tuskromp on. :)

i honestly dont know what kind of attack is is.
but afaik the parry defense goes down and then you will hurt a lot.
or at least i did even though i still had a shield up as well.

Tusk romp hits for red defenses while blocking green and red
Parry blocks green and blue while hitting for red
When he hits your parry it strikes his tusk romp that if you do not have a block for will strike you
You can safely use moves such as left hook on a boar when tusk romp is up
