Mulberry Leaves Quality

Postby drakesaint » Tue Dec 22, 2015 4:55 am

Suppose I have a Q15 silkworm, and I feed it with Q10 leaves. Will it's quality go down on every cycle? Or will it drop on the first cycle than stabilize to the leaves' Q?

Every eating cycle. You can improve your silk very slowly this way, but it's much easier to plant mulberry trees and get better leaves.

So, how does the new quality calculates every cycle? The mean between the leaf's Q and the silkworm's Q?

I'm not expert but some info said that every time silkworm eats leaf that its lower quality than itself, its quality goes down one point.

I've not messed with silk this year, but my understanding is that what vatas posted is still correct.

1 thing must be noticed here.
If you have quality 20 60 40 mulberry leaf
And you have ql 30 30 30 silkworm
essence aspect will go down. It doesnt count ql decreasing on avg
But instead
leaf essence vs worm essence
leaf substance vs worm substance
leaf vitality vs worm vitality

Yes, shubla. That's how quality works this world. ;)

Yes, now it only begs the question if for each cycle it reduces one point (as vatas pointed out) or if it means the quality between the silkworm and the leaf (for each of the trifecta quality points).

What question is there? I have a 15/15/15 worm and four 10/10/10 leaves. Every 4 hours the worm eats a leaf (if I recall right) and lowers a point if the quality is less than the worm. Thus you get 14/14/14, 13/13/13... to 11/11/11 after the four are eaten.

Another example: I have a 15/15/15 worm and a 20/12/14 leaf. The worm becomes 15/14/14, 15/13/14, then levels out at 15/12/14. At least that's my understanding. (If I'm wrong, someone will correct me, I'm sure.)

What I meant is that he wasn't 100% sure the mechanic you pointed out worked as expected. If it does, than that's cool, thanks.
