Quality of hide and materials from larger animals..

Postby TheLoli » Sat Dec 26, 2015 6:28 am

I could have sworn I seen this already when I was browsing the forum and wiki before, and someone loosely answered it (though not completely) in a thread that I was reading through on quality of skinning. My friend is dedicated to hunting but he has low survival skills and such, only high UAC, marksmanship, and stats in strength, constitution, and agility primarily. I, on the other hand, am more of an explorer and crafter so my perception, survival skill, etc is much higher than his.

If he kills things like boars, foxes, etc and then brings them back with him so that I'd do the skinning and butchering, is the quality of the items acquired this way based on my stats because I'm doing the actual skinning and butchering? Or is the overall quality of the animal and the items acquired from it based on his stats since he did the killing?

The animals that leave liftable corpses use the butcher's survival. Animals like Bats and Rabbits use the survival of the person who caught/killed it.
