Palisade Damage

What is the strength requirement to be able to damage (even if just slightly) a full built/dried Palisade with a pickaxe or sledgehammer?

I have found so many various posts stating random amounts and have been trying to test it on my own.
With items on that increase my strength to 150 I was given the "Too weak to damage" message. This was with a pickaxe.
I upped this to 200 str, wearing items that brought it to that level, and still received the "too weak" message. This was also with a pickaxe.

Is there a specific str level that you need in order to be able to damage a Palisade or will you always need a ram at this point in the game?

Also, I have found several posts about Palibasher, that can destroy a palisade with just their bare hands or a pickaxe/sledgehammer. Any idea of the str of these types of characters?

Palisades have 25 damage soak, so to do 1 point of damage to them you need to deal 26 damage per tick. You deal damage equal to the square root of your strength. This means that if you square 26, you find out the minimum strength you'll need to deal 1 point of damage to a palisade and eventually break it. A stone axe adds 1 damage and a pick axe adds 2 damage, so with a stone axe you'll only need to deal 25 damage per tick and with a pick axe you'll only need 24 damage per tick.

26^2 = 676
25^2 = 625
24^2 = 576

Wow, seems like a ton of strength! Guess we will put up a battering ram to break the wall that my buddy has locked himself in the base with.
Serves me right for not checking his progress for a few days.
