What are some changes to softcap and hardcap?

Postby user2015830 » Fri Jan 08, 2016 7:53 am

So, I've noticed that farming now doesn't cap harvested crop?
They say it caps it when you plant the seeds?
Also, someone said farming or survival both softcap digged soil q?

Also, what else does farming do? tree quality? milk?

Are there other changes similar to these ones?

Thx.

Farming doesn't cap harvested crops.
If you have more farming than the plant's quality, it has a chance of going up in quality every time you plant it.
Ifyou have less farming than the plant's quality, it has a chance of going down in quality. It won't be immediately brought to the level of your farming, but it will have a tendency to drop in Q.

Yes, farming seems to play a role in capping soil q. I'm not sure what are the numbers though.
Farming also affects tree planting quality.

Butchering domestic animals potentially looks at farming, too. I believe the change was so it used the highest of survival or farming.

Butchering domestic animals only uses farming as the softcap, same with shearing.
Milking seems unaffected by any skill.

Farming effects trees, silk, plants, flour.

Butchering wild animals only uses survival.
Only survival softcaps collection of natural resources (water, soil, clay, sand, etc) and foragables.

There were changes in a patch a while back and didn't recall which or the specific details. Thanks for the reminder. (Apologies for any confusion.)
