Noob Question..

So, I'm brand new to the new Haven, and I'm so confused I don't know where to start this is way harder then I remembered, but rambling aside I really just need one question answered. How do I put the building materials into the building site?? Aka I can't get the branches to go into the site for building a fire and I'm so confused please send help-- anyway, if someone could answer this I'd be really grateful!! Sorry to clog up the forum with such a silly question.

You need to have the material in your inventory or in piles near the building site and just press build.

As a tip for the future, you can make a material stockpile with a variety of different things by picking it up and then right clicking on the screen (don't matter if it's on the ground, building, just not on one of the game windows). Placing stockpiles near a construction site will allow you to gather materials before building things such as houses. There is a distance limit from the construction site to the stockpile, though, so getting too far away will just mean you need to move the pile or manually collect items.
