How to use a custom client for Legacy Haven

Postby Mario_DMG » Tue Jan 19, 2016 5:02 pm

My java is blocking the default client for legacy haven and I see the threads about people getting custom clients to work, however I do not know how to use eclipse or ant to replace the link "havenandhearth.com" with "legacy.havenandhearth.com". Can someone help me through the process of doing this?

Ender still hosts his legacy client, so no need to go through all that. https://github.com/EnderWiggin/Haven-an ... r/releases I'm not sure who else has one hosted. It's the one I'm aware of.

Exactly what do I download? all 4? What do I put in my run.bat file?

Damn, I'm sorry. So used to there being direction in Ender's thread I usually linked that.

Doing a bit of digging, and no, it doesn't look like the old client got updated to use the change in server name, so you'd have to get someone to post it for you. Otherwise, yes, you are back to where you were in the first post. I made a huge assumption figuring someone would update the code within the last several months. (Some people have, because they are using their clients to play, but nobody has bothered to push them to be published.)

Well the haven.jar file in the link that you gave is already updated where the urls are replaced with the legacy one, but I am getting an error: Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/media/opengl/GLCanvas

Good. i was just doing some digging and feeling lost. Glad it's workign for you. Some things I can pull up fast answers, other things I can get answers, but it takes a lot of time.

edit: hope I wasn't confusing you more than I was feeling trying to find the right answers. I'm tech savvy and I find some people's answers to be way too vague.
